This program shows the principles and techniques necessary for aseptic microbiology work. There are demonstrations in a university laboratory setting and three industrial settings, the Courage Berkshire Brewery, Roche Products Limited and the Public Health Laboratories. In each of these situations, scientists work in different ways reflecting the type of experiments, equipment and degree of containment necessary, although the principles are the same.
