Donate
Everyone has their own library story. Many give because they have fond childhood memories of taking home stacks of books from the library. Others donate because they believe the entire community benefits from a public library. Your donation can help the library in four distinct areas that are explained below.
GVPL Area of Greatest Need
GVPL Vibrant Library Spaces
A library is much more than a place to check out a book; it is a community meeting space, a virtual office, a play zone and a destination for lifelong learning. Your donation helps us refresh and renew these busy spaces.
GVPL Exceptional Collections
We are a community of passionate readers, dedicated to lifelong learning. Your support helps us keep up with the growing demand for books, ebooks, magazines, DVDs, digital collections and more.
GVPL Community-Inspired Programs and Services
Your support helps us expand our programs and services to instill a love of reading in kids, help people navigate the online world, welcome newcomers and support job seekers. There are lifelong learning opportunities for every age and every stage of life at the library.
Thank you for making a gift to the Greater Victoria Public Library. Your generosity will make an incredible difference to the public library and thousands of people whose world is enlarged by the materials, programs and services at the library.

- Publicly traded securities donated to charities receive attractive tax relief
Note: The library greatly appreciates your generosity; however, we may not be able to accept gifts of property. Acceptance is at the library’s discretion and is determined by factors such as available space, suitability, and organizational needs.
