Abstract:
This gorgeous archival release features a newly remastered version of Gavin Bryars' legendary cult classic album, which was the first release in Eno's Obscure Records series. This new album contains the two pieces that made up the two sides of the original vinyl release, emphasizing the second piece Jesus' Blood Never Failed Me Yet; which achieved huge success in its later version on Point Records, no longer available today. A rare and anticipated reissue.

Jesus' blood never failed me yet is for pre-recorded voice of an old tramp with added chamber orchestra. The sinking of the Titanic is based on thematic material emanating from and inspired by reports of the 1912 sinking of the Titanic; incorporates reminiscences from a survivor.
