Agathe Villanova is one of the new generation of rising politicians. On vacation with her partner, Antoine, in the family home in the country, she is approached by Karim, the son of her sister's housekeeper, and Michel, her sister's lover, to feature in a documentary about successful women. Agathe finds herself forced to confront the consequences of her own ambitions, while the filmmakers' comic amateurism crystallizes tensions in the relationships of all those around them.
