Bud Fox, an ambitious young broker, is lured into the illegal and lucrative world of corporate espionage after actively courting one of the biggest stock speculators on Wall Street, Gordon Gekko, who manipulates the market using inside information, until Gekko decides to target Blue Star airlines, the company where Bud's father has worked for twenty-four years.
