Willa Jackson's family was once a family of means in Walls of Water, North Carolina. The Blue Ridge Madam which was built by her great-great-grandfather and now is being turned into an inn by Willa's former classmate Paxton Osgood after years standing as a lonely monument of misfortune and scandal.
