Abstract:
A stunning documentary about the life of indigenous people living in the heart of the Siberian Taiga. Deep in the Siberian wilderness, far away from civilization, 300 people inhabit the small village of Bakhta on the Yenisei River. The outpost can only be reached in two ways: boat or helicopter. The locals, whose daily routines have barely changed over the centuries, live self-reliantly according to their cultural traditions. The documentary follows the villagers through the Taiga's four seasons to tell the incredible story of a society untouched by modernity.
