Abstract:
In the turbulent period just prior to Confederation John A. Macdonald, the charismatic leader of the Conservative Party and his opponent, the fiercely determined George Brown, leader of the Liberal Party and founder and owner of Toronto{u2019}s Globe, are involved in a passionate struggle for power. Both are fired by dramatically different visions for the country and a deep hatred for each other.
