Montreal, 1937. A desolate winter, almost snowless and fraught with threats. Stan lives alone with his younger sister Thérèse and tries to make his way in a world that is teetering on the edge of modernity. Crossing his path is the leader of the Christian National Social party Adrien Arcand, frantic anti-Semitic and anti-communist conspirators as well as an unscrupulous agent of the Mounted Police, he decides to take his destiny in hand. But, vacillating between the advice of his old anarchist mentor, the promises of a fanciful painter and the constraints of a double game in which he has locked himself, he will quickly see that trying to act on the course of the the story is not without risks. While the showers of March will bury the city under a heavy white coat, the storm will be unleashed.
