"John and Suzan Jennings experienced and dealt with a sudden onset of Guillain-Barré syndrome in 2008. Within six days Suzan went from a tingle in her cheek to being totally paralyzed from her neck down, which lasted for over four months. She was told she would remain unable to walk and use her hands for the rest of her life. With determined rehabilitation and hard work she was able to overcome the syndrome, enough to be able to walk and, indeed, regain use of her hands.
