Abstract:
Recent Alzheimer's research reveals that the parts of the brain related to emotions and creativity are largely spared by the disease. This program explores how some day care centers, nursing homes and assisted-living facilities are achieving positive results with creative based therapies, using drawing, painting and museum visits to improve quality of life and to restore a dialogue between caregivers and families.
