Quest for the bay [DVD video]

Filmed on location in Manitoba, Canada, eight volunteers help relive an adventure of the epic 1200 kilometer journey of the Hudson's Bay Company fur traders of the 1840s who traveled from Winnipeg, Canada to the Hudson Bay. Reliving the past, the 'average people' undertake a grueling and difficult journey through the wilderness in a historically accurate York Boat rowing 12 to 14 hours a day, carrying 180 lbs. packs, and shooting the rapids as the trip takes eight to twelve weeks.
